Choosing A Univeristy / College

Seeking admission into a University / College can be a nightmare unless one is focused on ones goals, taking into consideration elements like eligibility, financing, course content, placement prospects. Today most students are well informed because of the media and the age of technology. However some research, counseling and guidance will pay in choosing the right & most cost effective program.

Needless to mention many Universities today even offer on-line degrees which are rarely accepted in the job market ultimately. Consider George Weah the former Chelsea footballer and Liberian Presidential candidate, was found to have a Degree from the fictitious Park-wood University in London.

The global market in fake degrees and college degrees is estimated to be worth about $1 billion / Pounds 850 million a year.

It is imperative that you survey and satisfy your options with regard to
Accreditation of the Degrees offered by Universities & Colleges.

Pricing – Expensive / Cheap / Competitive range in terms of affordability, quality, long term benefits of the course you choose.
Placement after completion of your course.

Today Universities & Colleges in USA, Canada, UK are facing stiff competition from countries like Cyprus, Greece, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Singapore, with regard to offering a range of courses at middle class prices and worldwide accepted Degrees.

A year’s preparation for applying to Universities and Colleges is just about sufficient.

The difference between a Public University and a Private one

There are large numbers of students in public Universities therefore they are regulated by rules that are applied to the masses, and there is less flexibility for individual circumstances, whereas at Private Institutions decisions are based on a case-to-case basis. This applies to situations both in and out of the classroom.

Private colleges and Universities often cost more but they offer more generous financial assistance, because thought they receive less funding from government they receive large private donations.

Advantages of Studying in a Community College.

Full time study in a Community College is less than a four year college or University.
Difference is about half as much but varies from State to State.

Transfer Programs gives the students the opportunity to transfer to a four year college or University by awarding credits to them.
Small Class sizes about 25 – 30 or less in a class.
Counseling and advising are readily available for International students.
