registered
with
the NMC –Nursing & Midwifery
Council-
(NMC)
UK. Nurses
who wish
to work
in the
UK must
have
obtained
first
level
registration
and be
fully
registered
in their
own country.
Enrolled
nurse
qualifications
outside
the UK
are not
recognized
in the
UK. Nurses
are assessed
on an
individual
basis
in terms
of educational
qualifications
and experience.
Some
applicants
whose
training
has been
similar
to that
of the
UK may
be registered
immediately
while
others
will
have
to undertake
further
clinical
experience
or supervised
training either
in their
own country
or an Adaptation
Program
in the
